Artist of Lively colours, Eunju Nam
Eunju Nam was educated at Daegu Girls’ high school and graduated from Youngnam University with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Art. Ms. Nam lectured as a Professor of Fine Arts at Dong-A University for eight years from 1986. Ms. Nam’s fifth solo exhibition ‘Stories on Kenya’ is held at Gana Art Space subsequent to her passionate and successful works. After her first visit to Kenya in 2001, she held the first solo exhibition ‘To Kenya’ at Gong Gallery in Seoul in 2008. In 2013, she became the first Asian artist to hold a solo exhibition ‘Love & Harmony of Kenya’ at National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi. Ms. Nam continued her works in Kenya by completing two mural painting projects of Ayany Primary School of Kibera in Nairobi(2013) and Maasai Paranai Church in Elerai(2014).
Ms. Nam also exhibited ‘Bible painting Exhibit’ at Rothem Gallery in 2008 and ‘London Stories’ at Gana Art Space in 2012 after her stay in London for two years. She participated in a number of group exhibitions in Korea and overseas. She joined Shin-Woo Exhibition, Chung-Sack Exhibition and Dae-Mak Exhibition, Lee-Sang Exhibition in Korea(1985-2003), Dong-A Univ. Professors’ Exhibition(1992), North Eastern Asian Exhibition in Korea, Japan and China(2004-2005), Modern Art Exhibition by 12 artists at Yale Gallery(2009-2012), Valentine Exhibition at Kuona Trust of Kenya(2015) and Exhibitions of Korean Christian Artists’ Association(2005~) and other 150 group exhibitions. Currently, Ms. Nam is the member of Korean Art Association and Korean Christian Art Association.

남 은 주
대구여고를 졸업하고 영남대학교 회화과 및 동대학원을 졸업했으며, 1986년부터 8년간 동아대학교 예술대학 회화과에서 강사를 역임했다. 5회의 개인전을 했는데 2001년케냐방문이후 2008년공화랑(서울)에서의 첫번째 케냐기행전을 시작으로 2013년 두번째 케냐전을 케냐국립박물관(내셔널뮤지움, 나이로비)에서 아시아인 최초로 개인전을 개최했고 2015년 다시 2년에 걸쳐 케냐에서 작업한 후 발표한 가나아트스페이스(서울)에서의 전시가 세번째 케냐전이다. 2013년 키베라지역 Ayany primery school(나이로비, 케냐)에 벽화를, 2014년에는 Maasai Paranai church(엘레라이, 케냐)에 벽화작업을 하였다. 2008년에는 성경그림전(로뎀갤러리, 서울), 2012년엔 2년간 영국런던에 머물며영국에서 작업한 후 남은주의 런던스토리전을 가나아트스페이스(서울)에서 발표했다.
그룹전은 1985년-2003년에 걸쳐 매년 대맥회, 이상회, 신우회, 청색회전참여, 1992년 동아교수미전, 2004-2005년동북아시아전(한·중·일), 2009-2012년 현대미술12인전(예일화랑), 2005-현재까지 한국기독교미술인협회전, 2015년 Kuona trust의 Valentine전(케냐) 등 국내외 150여회의 초대전과 단체전에 참여하였다. 현재 한국미술협회와 한국기독교미술인협회 회원이다.
